It Is Wrong Poem by Pauline Levesque

It Is Wrong

I just don’t know what is wrong?
The peach was sweet, the juice thick
And her smile ….oh her smile….
Don’t speak, don’t analyze, don’t move, don’t be

I don’t know what is wrong?
Push her down, make her feel small….
Kiss her and swim in the warm waters…
Dreams stay alive in her scent, her skin, her eyes….

I don’t know what is wrong?
Terrible tensions, words expressed in frustration, walls erected everywhere
She leaves, I leave, we have no answers, no peace so much pain and heartache.
Come to my office and lie in my arms…fall softly into my heart, in the centre
Of the flesh, open to you….our souls breathe as one breath
Do I close my eyes to the truth?
Was it all just a dream I made up?
Then why does it hurt so bad?

I don’t know what is wrong?
The ache is bad….
My heart won’t forget.
It is so wrong.
