The Moment Poem by Pauline Levesque

The Moment

Enchanted by your smile, I watch you move in grace and
Determination
I sit by your door, breathing in the sweet air of spring….
One leg dangling over the arm of a chair….
relaxed ….listening to you….
So fast…so animated….your face lights up when speaking of dreams and ambitions….
Of writing…of life….

The shear white curtains that separate your bedroom from your living space move lazily as a breeze lifts the edges lightly as if tiny hands are caressing them.
Ever sense is awake as I watch you move back and forth …always restless…never quieted

For once I am in the moment and content….I pull my head back, close my eyes….
Your sultry voice in my ears…your energy surrounds me…..
Breath escapes my lips and I smile ever so …suttle
and then…
You stop…there is silence…and your lips caress mine.

a wash of warmth rushes threw my heart, I am loved.
