It Occurs To Me Poem by leeza gutierrez

street signs passing by the streets seem awry.
I see the stop sign and stand to a halt.
I see signs pointing multiple directions.
I get dizzy and can't stand still, i feel all the motions.
I feel a moment of doom and i feel tears rolling down my face.
I can't breath and i can't see.
then it occurs to me in my moment of defeat:
suddenly i see that i have the control of me and the moment can be defeated if I don't let it defeat me.
I feel energy and i take that moment of defeat and throw it back in to the abyss -back where it came from.
