it only takes a second
for a life to end
for two wrong paths to cross
for a smile never to return
for eyes with no intent on opening
for hands with nothing left to grab
for a heart to just...stop beating.
and its like,
will you ever understand! ?
that in one moment,
your best friend,
can take their last breathe.
that in one moment,
the one you love,
will never hold your hand again.
that someone's wrecklace driving
or a weapon randomly drawn
can just simply take away
the air you breathe,
the beauty you used to see.
that in the blink of your eye
your whole life can change...
