It's A Dogs Life

Rating: 4.5

I haven't seen her in a while
Usually when she goes she comes back but she hasn't
Now there's no one around that knows how to hug me properly
There's no one that knows I prefer the bone biscuits to the round ones
I haven't seen her in a while
I miss her and her smile
The last time I saw her with eyes open she was fine
Apart from the salt on her face from that time she cried
But I tried my best to kiss it away
That was when she gave me a biscuit
The last in the box
Next morning the bigger person went into her room and knocked
I was allowed in for once which was a shock
Considering my hair would go everywhere
But that wasn't the problem then and there
The problem was that her eyes wouldn't open
They put her in a smaller bed in her room
And people came to visit all with black costumes
Then they put her in the dirt and I couldn't dig her up
I still wait for her here, and everyone says 'it's tough'
I wait for her here and think life is 'ruff'
