It’s Hard Poem by Michael P. Johnson

It’s Hard

Rating: 5.0

It’s not that hard to see who’s blind
Who’s faith is less than low
Where Satan’s clouded people’s mind
Through seed his demons sow

It’s not that hard to see who’s dumb
Who lend The Truth no ear
Who’ve heard of hell and things to come
But show no earthly fear

It’s not too hard to see just why
The world seeks every thrill
Nor see the reason why they die
Who neighbours see to kill

It’s not to hard to see them fail
Who seek for selfish gain
Who steal who cheat and land in jail
Where chains their lives restrain

But where it’s hard; is deep inside
Between the bone and nerve
To rid ourselves of foolish pride
And find the will to serve

It’s hard to watch the world go by
It’s hard our self to give
It’s hard to feel it slowly die
So through God’s Son to live

It’s hard a soul for God to win
It’s hard to make friends see
To bring the lost and prisoner in
For Christ to set them free

It’s hard to live without The Lord
Impossible to thrive
Impossible to flee The Sword
As long as God’s alive
