It's Just In The Mind Poem by Neo Patricia Monamodi

It's Just In The Mind

The lovely love of his life;
He longs for her to have been his wife.
She comes to him in twisted thoughts and visions.
And controls him from his transparent dreams.
Then disappears as one to death it seems.
Or shall we say as mist as the sun rises?

He embraces her when it’s cold
He has love for her untold.
She is the warmth to his cold heart.
Through the window they watch the cold rain
Avoiding its chill they slide down the window pane
As they, warm up to kisses and glances

Somewhere between the embraces and glance he wakes up.
He’s again a lonely star in the closed universe.
Wondering if beauty is something to believe in
Cursing love’s twisted scheme;
Pieces to what may seem complete.
Only realizing it’s a shadow of what does not exist.

His heart longs for some form of life
It’s foolish to have wished for a wife
Pricilla, she was just an invisible wind.
Him, his is the reality of a damaged world.
Pricilla, she was just a dream
Disappeared before dawn and broke the spell…
