to give yourself fully
to spend all of your time
to have everything you want
without spending a dime

to walk beside
not behind
to look
only to find

to adore every flaw
to not ask for change
accept as is
do not rearrange

to know the mood
by a look of the eye
to not make a sound
to understand the sigh

to connect in a way
only friends have done
to wake every morning
knowing he's the one

does love as such exist
if so, do I resist
I'm too weak to fight
I ache for what's right

these words from within
the depths of my soul
for now it's my turn
I've paid the toll
