It's The Start Poem by Daniel Sims

It's The Start

Rating: 5.0

priests continue to pray,
the trees will always sway,
the earth still spins,
but my life begins.

because nothing is the same,
from the masai tribe,
to views i can't describe,
since i learnt your name.

the first meeting meant nothing,
but meant everything to come,
until i caught you smiling,
and i was struck dumb.

i spin around, but you're not there,
disappeaing into thin air.
i turn and walk away dismayed,
and there you are, she stayed.

a smile fights onto my face,
my cheeks burns a deep amber,
dizziness takes hold, i brace,
you catch me, we clamber.

It's the start of life, and love.
It's the start of us.
