It’s Time For Good-Bye Poem by christopher bagley

It’s Time For Good-Bye

Rating: 5.0

As noticeably leaves begin to fall
And tempests overtake azure skies
The air around us becomes increasingly frigid
Even the sound of my breathing makes you livid
Perhaps it’s time for good-bye

Naught now but a distant memory
Holding hands along life’s twisting paths
Exasperated breath and melancholy sighs
Mark the days and scar the nights
As love gives way to unbridled wrath

Knowing not how to fix this
Creates a void deep in my soul
Trying too hard to pacify…perhaps
I am at a loss to rectify this – alas
As I prepare for the lonely road

To stay longer would be cruel
To depart now seems only right,
This sadness enveloping our hearts
Has seemingly ripped our very souls apart
It’s time to heal – It’s time to move on,
It’s Time for Good-Bye
