It Seems Impossible (Written On The Nineteenth Yahrtzeit Of My Mother

It seems impossible
That someone one loves so much
Someone that has meant so much in one's life
Should simply cease to be
And never be again forever

Eternal death does not make sense for those who love and love and love
And will love as long as they live-

-So it is for me with my mother and father and brother and others also
I can make no sense of the idea
That they will never be again
And I pray to G-d against all seeming
That I am right
And somehow someway in somewhere
We will all meet again and be happier than ever before
Just in being with each other.

'Till death do us part' may be a simple phrase but when we think of its deeper implications, this poem offers us an explanation and provides an answer. Thanks, Shalom. Someone.... Should simply cease to be And never be again forever I can make no sense of the idea
