It Seems Like... - Poem by Marisabel Tomey
It seems like everytime I try to explain,
your protective gear comes into play.
And I don't mind speaking very plain,
When situations do not seem to simply lay.
It seems like you do not give me trust,
Maybe you're afraid since I am growing up fast.
And you can't choose to block what is a must,
This is why the present is nothing like the past.
It seems like when people talk you, you listen,
I guess it is to make sure it is not about me.
And I have never cared what comes out of Kristen,
Less about gossip...I care more for a flea.
It seems like when I do something...I am 8 again,
When you used to asked who is going to the beach?
And you still do it at age of 17...asking with vain:
Are there chaperones and what number can I reach! ? !
