It Starts With A Feeling - Poem by Kevin Wang

It started as a feeling
Which grew to a hope
A hope to convene you all
To help a smile to be natural

It started as a feeling
Which grew like a tree
Blossoming on its hands
And shaking its mane
When it’s time to let go

As it grew anew
From its own seed
Rooted on the same line
The same start
That step toward you

When light first hit me
Shining on the glistened wood
Reflecting off into the unknowns
Of this devious mind
Penetrating the dark parts
Shouting out
Let there be light!

‘cause the love all around
is starting to spread
even into the darkness parts of the unknown
where we, the people
would even blossom
like when it started
as a feeling
to the beginning
of a love

everything
always has a beginning
and mine
started with a feeling
