It was so easy to just drift away,
and wander a little further each day.
For as I began to grow much older
love started to grow a little colder.
It was so easy to just drift away

It seemed so easy to just move apart
although our love felt so great at the start.
For of wonderful moments I can tell
when our love was so strong and all was well.
It seemed so easy to just move apart.

Oh why can't we start all over again?
Let's sing together and dance in the rain.
For our love does not have to end this way.
