I Almost Lost You Yesterday Poem by Royston Nella

I Almost Lost You Yesterday

Rating: 5.0

I almost lost you yesterday.
My life all shattered and in disarray.
God could have chosen death to part
and brought such sadness to my heart.

I took for granted the love we have,
but yesterday reminded me my love
of the frailty of this earthly life.
I could have been without my wife!

My dear, you are so very precious to me.
Without you I don't know where I'd be.
I know that death will separate one day
but I'm so thankful it was not yesterday.

Praise God for His daily protection
For His great care and His direction.
He was watching over you yesterday
and has given us another precious day.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms—(Deuteronomy 33: 27) Written after a near accident outside the petrol station in School Road. (I was also reminded of the time I could have lost you when I went to Ghana.)

every past went far, never comes back; it's true that, we cannot touch every future; but the present we live in and it's grateful to God that we live and die at present, at our time.

It's perpetually all will happen in God's Time, not in ours! Thank you so much for this Beauty!

Most beautifully worded, very touching and a testominy, witness for God's greatest Blessings and His Wonder, in daily or in all, because He is the Almighty One we are talking to, begging Him in our daily prayers
