Its All History Poem by Savannah Lewis

Its All History

Rating: 3.8

Acquire a taste for the unreal
Seeing a face thats so surreal
Catching the glimpse of the past
Forgetting the hurt of a love thats gone
Capture the heart of a wandering mind
Notice the ghost of a lost love
Wanting to know the wandering fool
Lasting a moment the color all faded
Shut from inside locked at all cost
Forgiven the man who tore me apart
Never to Lay my eyes upon
His crystal blue eyes that lied to me
Hatred escapes my eyes unforseen
Close the past only look ahead
No more hiding glide right on by
Open my eyes to let them shine
Colors appear as if the very first time
Mirages disappear
Clearing the mind for more unknown
Preparing me for
The loves thats to come

An evocative and exorcising write. Good to see some uplifting forward thinking at the end. A nice work.
