It's Thanksgiving Time Again Poem by Monica M Engeler

It's Thanksgiving Time Again

The holidays are approaching us again
You see those ripe leaves are blowing around,
And the sweetness of coco perfumed the rooms
The memories of long ago return with a joy.

I hope you don't mind me talking about the holidays
They are coming around again
Well, it starts with Halloween.
You know, it just passed by.

Remember those Trick or treaters?
They had those fancy costumes,
And there little smiles just make me happy.
Well its a treat or trick? Right!

Now the leaves are falling ever faster,
And The acorns are banging on the roofs.
The days are getting shorter and shorter
Its time to sit back and watch holiday shows.

Thanksgiving is just around the corner.
You know its the gathering of family and friends
Some have many over
And others just a few.

Its not so much of how many come,
But the feeling of being together as one.
The smell of the roast in the oven
And being thankful for what you have this day.

I am happy you didn't mind me sharing my thoughts
I hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving
Thank you for today
Thank you and have a good day.
