It's Too Hard To Be Human! Poem by Mohammad Younus

It's Too Hard To Be Human!

It's too hard to be human!
Every dream you see,
Won't make you human;
Your dream to live,
More powerful and better off,
Will not make you human,
Because as a natural consequence,
You will deny other fellow human beings,
The same golden dreams;
You won't let others,
Their own choice of living,
A peaceful and prosperous life;
You are too busy buzzing like flies,
About shit-pools;
When will you realize that your dreams,
Are void that make you inhuman?
Enter your memory lane,
And go through your files;
There you will sense all of history repeats,
Through you and me;
You will realise that actually you are:
Rawana, Halaku, and Chengez Khan!
All because of your dreams,
To occupy land and resources of others;
You are still flowing the rivers of blood,
In the name of crusades;
Your existence as humankind now,
Is at stake of extinction;
What a horrible day it will be!
Apocalypse it will be!
Will you find another life under the sky?
You can't even imagine where you'll be;
Because of your inhuman dreams...
You will find yourself in the ruins and rubble,
Of the castles you could never climb;
Leave your wild and inhuman dreams,
So that you never repeat your mistakes;
The modern man that lives,
On others' blood, bones, and flesh,
Growing the palaces and empires,
That he can't ever take with.
