It's You, Girl Poem by Chukwuebuka Adebayo

It's You, Girl

IT'S YOU, GIRL

It's you, girl
If my body is feeling ill;
And my loveache goes whirl
I've seen the doctor for a pill
Yet mine mind tossing so birl
Just as untied canoe does swirl.

It's you girl, I remark
If little things gets me nark,
If I am headstrong and stark
And my mom's voice not to hark
Always walking home will the dark
And all street dogs at me, they bark.

Your sexy eyes if she wink,
Your teeth whiter than milk
Your thin hairs--your lips, pink
Your shoes as they sweetly clink
She's a queen in her careful prink
When you see her wear her local silk.

(For my Girlfriend)
