It's Your Life Poem by Tor Magnor Solvang

It's Your Life

You try so hard, you bend and sway,
To please them all, each single day.
But voices whisper, sharp and low,
'Not quite enough, ' they seem to know.

You change your steps, you sing a new song,
Still something's missing, feels so wrong.
Their judging eyes, they watch and gleam,
A never-ending, tiring dream.

So let them be, their thoughts they keep,
While you sow seeds that you can reap.
Be true to you, in all you think,
Stand by the words, right on the brink.

Let actions flow, from your own heart,
A brand new rhythm, a fresh start.
For in your truth, a light will bloom,
Chasing away all doubt and gloom.

Dance to your tune, let music rise,
And find your joy, behind your eyes.
More peace you'll know, more sweet delight,
When you are simply, shining bright.
