I've No Time To Waste! Poem by Doreenda Nikoi Kotei

I've no time to chatter unnecessarily,
I've no time to belittle others,
I've no time to wrongfully compete with people,
I've no time to pick up a fight to prove my point,
I've no time to chase after what doesn't belong to me,
And I've no time to torture others to make me feel better.

But I've the time to take that masterclass course,
To read that new book,
To learn an additional skill,
To try out that topnotch recipe,
To clean up my room and experiment new decor,
And I've the time to go to the beach or just watch the setting sun!

I've gotten time to spare in the prison cell,
To speak hope and possibilities in that young prisoner.
I've gotten time to visit the hospital,
To help put a beautiful smile on that ailing child's face.
I've have the time to visit the old deserted orphanage,
Where I can make donations, have fun and make memories with those the less privileged!

Why should I be negative when I can be positive?
Why should I tear down when I can build up?
Why should I be the problem when I can help solve it?
And why should I criticize when I know that I'm also not perfect and insecure?
If only you'll take time to ignore the things that don't matter,
You'll always have enough time for all that you ever wanted to do!
My time is my life and my success,
It is my money and my wealth,
It is my everything!
So, I've no time to waste!
