Jacaranda Poem by Sveta Guralnik

Jacaranda

Frail lilac
Against the pale
Veil of sky
Even heaven
Shining through
Never you die
Laid so high
Kept so nigh
Never you die
Never

Jacaranda is name of land
Continent
Is unleaven
Air you breathed
Bread you ate
Love you loved
Blood you bled
Purple and mauve and heaven

Silver bells
Frosty scars
Lacy twigs
Shiver stars
