Jaded Nails Poem by Walter C. Edwards

Jaded Nails

Jaded nails I walk upon,
plunge deep and scared my flesh,
porcupines quills stab me still,
glass shards I pickup slow,
as the blood over flows,
scared little one I still know,
hiding away afraid to death,
to burden someone with a wound,
to his flesh.
