January Poem by Vishnu Pandit

January

Oh look! With a new beginning
It's you again;
Like the sun, after storm and rain.
Rush of the rays to greet the earth
As the clouds part;
Beloved January,
You beckon upon me with a fresh start.

With you; my vacant soul finds strength,
Colour and a spark.
Blossoming breathing life and ideas;
Shedding bygone, that old bark.
Promise of comfort & life, Lost
And withered it was.
In concert shall it come again,
It won't pause.

Lay before me a new path,
Regained strength, and my stride;
January, year after year, you
Showed me way like a guide.
A pace to wonder, Tranquil senses &
A Graceful breathing;
Leaving behind the undergrowth of past,
Walk with you, quite and tender,
Wounded existence is now healing.
