Jealousy Poem by Elise Colon

Jealousy

Jealousy is a forest green
it lies deep within a thick forest of evergreen trees
It sounds like a low growl of an angry dog and tastes like a sour lemon
It looks like a shy kid, holding back rage
It makes me feel insane

Jealousy is red like a fire
It sounds like the scratching of a chalkboard
and tastes like nasty cold medicine
It looks like a cracked window that slowly keeps cracking
It makes me feel desperate
