Jean My Heart Beat Poem by Isiuwa Osa-Iguehide

Jean My Heart Beat

From the depth of my heart,
I echo in truth and sincerity of my craving love,
With dreams and fantasy of a wish yet to be fulfill,
Wish of a lifelong stroll with my darling Jean

My heart beat for her like drum played on a raining day,
That its sound overcomes all winds and storms,
Drum played for a pride dancing to her groom,
Oh what a sweet beat,
Craving for love at it deepest motion

Cast me not away in trouble time,
And stab not my heart in dark moment,
For low and timid it beats restrictively for you
And at your call it answers with no backing.

You are my heart beat,
My drummer,
And my sweet player
Play on with no stop,
Else I join the world beyond reach,
In the depth of hell and heavens boundary
