Jesus Is The Light Of The World

are stringing lights
on their rooftops
and windows,
wrapping strands
around bushes and trees,
lighting candles
and burning fires.
This is the time
of year the world
witnesses to the coming
of the very One
who said of Himself:
I am the Light of the World.- (St. John 8: 12 in the New Testament of the Holy Bible)
