Jorge? You And 'Me' Poem by Lee B. Mack

Jorge? You And 'Me'

Jorge? You and me linked by plan to Maya
Langston Derek By mobile to mobile…
Every imagined move is a mirror
tracked by our digitized God to
stumbling first lines of poetry
I am cornering the days of reckoning
By a deck of cards retired at the CIA a joker
Held in the hand of a street corner magician
Scares hells out of me but I too am dying
The odds are favorable, you see
I am at play in the Wal Mart line
To cash and trade the slots in the lottery grind
The produce is weighted cashiered and stamped
To pass the settlement detector bank
The coins I rattle use to be
Now I am down even with the economy
To the mark that counts to the E-Z-Ride tokens.

I like the satirical commentary about modern, first world life.
