Joy Poem by Maria Mortimer

Joy

Rating: 5.0

I'm a child
With uncontained joy
For I -
Unable to keep it inside
The bright raindrops
Sing music
Whilst the sun
Shines warmth within my soul
My God is for me
That I now can see
He is my savior
Though the clouds dim
I rejoice in Him
For I am a child
With uncontained joy
I attempted to keep it within
But with Him as my source of joy
Whom am I to contain it?

And therefore I am a child
With uncontained Joy.
