Joys Of Summer Poem by Penni Currie

Joys Of Summer

Light nights,
heat haze,
midgie bites,
warm days.
Holiday time,
Vodka and lime.
Duty free booze,
Airport queues.
Don't drink the water.
Lock up your daughter.
Foreign men
never know when
No means no.
It's time to go
home again -
delayed flight.
In the airport
spend your last night.

The joys of Summer!
