Judgement Day Poem by Paul Klobusicky

Judgement Day

Judgment Day

On the last day
Everyone will step up
To the plate
One last time
With the game on the line
The count will be
Three balls and two strikes
Bases will be loaded
With just one out
In a unique condition
You will be the runner at third
And the batter at the plate
As Christ throws
The final decision pitch
Will you take a call third strike?
Hit a grounded and be
Thrown out at the plate…
Never reaching heaven’s gate
Or will you lie down
A sacrifice bunt
And cross the plate to heaven’s gate
Christ made the ultimate sacrifice
He gave his life for mankind
It’s not the singles. Doubles, triples
Or even the homeruns you hit in life
But what kinds of sacrifices
You make in your life
