Just A Dream Poem by Tatianna Rogers

Just A Dream

Sunset

Now I lay me down to sleep I pray the lord my secrets to keep

As the wind howls and moon glows

This is where my true self grows

I dream of a world that's TRULY silent

And the people have never heard of violence

Where the world is multicolored but no one has a favorite

And birds sing songs of an infinite playlist

I dream of a world where man can love man

Racists and minorities walk hand and hand

And the world is a shared land
Oh yes this is a dream for the optimistic

But however it is still a dream
That will be interrupted by the rooster's cry

But I will dream the same dream each and every night

Until it becomes reality making me happy to see sunrise
