Just A Face Poem by Patricia Chapman

sometimes you would think that you wouldnt be fooled
but now that you look at the big picture
you start to see that you were

your love for somebody
that will not love you
is hard enough to look at

somebody you thought you could
be with till the end surprises you
and say 'i have to think about us'

that can pull anyone down a whirlwind
now i sit here helpless
dont know what to say

should i give it should you give up
is the question that rolls around my head
till i feel nothing but pain in my whole body

what happened to us, what happened to you
you changed it all, i could of been your everything
but now i dont know what i am to you

just a voice
a touch
just a face

now i look at our pictures together
and i will not cry
not no more

till you make your decision,
ill be here
but i dont know how much more longer
