Just A Falling Star Poem by Richard Trembath

Just A Falling Star

You flashed across my life
As does a star across the night
You blazed a trail, you left me stunned
And blinded by the light.

But all too soon ‘twas dark again,
You went from whence you came,
And I my petty life resumed,
Before I knew your name.

And sometimes that's the way life is,
You glimpse it from afar,
Your hopes you raise, then realise
It's just a falling star.
