Just A Minute Poem by Thistle Wargul

Just A Minute

Do you know how it feels,
To live your life in the slow lane?
Not to race on ahead,
And leave your whole world behind?

Does anyone know,
How much,
Pain waits for us in hell?
Does anyone care,
At least,
Try to improve?
Half the world’s,
Too fat,
While the other’s too thin?
Does any know,
‘Cause we’re going too fast!

Just a minute,
The world is passing me by.
Just a minute,
You might as well give it a try.
So your life don’t pass,
With the blink of an eye!

How long will it be,
Before,
We all destroy the Earth?
Only then to realise,
That we’ve nowhere to go.
How many do starve,
So that we enjoy life?
A waste of effort,
‘Cause we’re going to fast!

Yes hippies are right,
They tell,
Tell us the dreadful truth.
Even if they only,
Say it,
To be a bore.
We should all work,
Work it out for ourselves.
You’d better slow down,
‘Cause we’re going too fast!

Just a minute,
The world is passing me by.
Just a minute,
You might as well give it a try.
So your life don’t pass,
With the blink of an eye!
