That's what poetry can do, point out life's truths. If you would like one of my truths about love, it's ‘where another's needs are tantamount to your own' from my poem, Love Always Remembers

What is in a name? A rose smells rose even if it is called by any other name. Just like this love and hate are two words, but behind these two there is a heart that feels for both. So, it is the feeling that counts and not the words. In English language it is 'Love', but this word differs in other languages. So, the word is not important here, only the feelings behind the word that counts. You have well done.

Well done. I can truly appreciate the loss of meaning in these words (and many others) . Not all people just 'go through the motions' though - there are still a few that mean what they say. Telling the difference is the problem. This poem challenges the reader to examine their own sincerity. Very good.
