Just Another Christmas Poem by Hopeless Heart

Just Another Christmas

Blood is spattered across the walls
Shout and screams fill the halls
A little girl stares up at me
Wondering how to get free,

Her face is cover in the blood of others
She did have two older brothers,
They are now dead and gone
Buried in the backyard where they belong.

Her mother was the first to go
She put up a fight but was gone in a blow
Her father well… he was the hardest
But now in pieces is his carcass,

The little girls eyes are blue with fear
Do I really want to rip and tear?
What a silly question of course I do,
She isn’t going to stop me I’m almost through,

Now she sits under the Christmas tree
A present for anyone to see,
I clean my hands of this deed
I just love hearing them plead,

Another Christmas come and gone
Carollers sing their joyous songs
Another year of this chore,
And my family will be no more

I smile as the children hop past
Their happiness won’t last,
Soon enough they’ll see the truth
And realise there was never any proof.
