Just Another Person Poem by Hopeless Heart

Just Another Person

Tell me what you think
Even though I didn’t ask,
I don’t really care
If you think I’m going to last.

Shout things at me
What did I do to you?
I’m just walking home
I don’t even know you,

Why am I such a problem?
It seems everyone has there own opinion,
I haven’t done anything to anyone
I’m just being who I want to be,

So shove off and leave me alone
I’m just another person like you,
Just because you believe in stereotypes
Doesn’t mean I conform to them too.

I wear black
You wear white,
Doesn’t mean I’m evil
Doesn’t mean you’re pure,

Look at me and tell me what you see
Then get to know me
Do you still think the same?
If you do I feel sorry for you,

Open you mind
Look past the stereotypes,
Think for yourself
You might be pleasantly surprised.
