Just Because It’s You And I Poem by Adam Rubenstein

Just Because It’s You And I

For if the mountains crumble to the sea
It would still be you and me
And if the sun chose not to rise
There I’d be right by your side
And if the stars forgot to shine
I’d just borrow them for within your eyes

I wake at night to look at you
I thank the heavens for sending you
What can I do (for you) ?
As everyday with you is a gift for me
What can I do (for you) ?

Just because it’s you and I
Our sun will always rise
Our stars will always shine
Those mountains need not crumble
For our love will never jumble
Be nothing more than the sweetest flowers umbel
