Just Let Us Be - Poem by Carike Klokow

As a whisper escapes your mouth so cold
i feel the terror of being alone and old
Dont say anything and leave this place
never again do i wanna see your face

You scold, you scream and tear my heart
you pushed so hard, you pulled apart
this love we have you're afraid to say
that maybe just maybe its here to stay

Dont push me away just let me see
inside your heart where i wanna be
open up and talk to me
undo this hurt
set your feelings free

Let me break your chains shatter your fear
stop screaming just hold me near
so afraid of love i cannot believe
so afraid of me so full of grieve

Im not the women who has gone
the one with no feelings who loves noone
i care, i love, i feel for you
now pull me close cus these words are true

Hold me now dont let me go
lets just go easy, take it slow
believe my words i love you so
its undone
you love me, i already know
