Just Like Yesterday Poem by Not Long Left

Just Like Yesterday

just like yesterday,
i never finished waking up,
just like yesterday
i never stopped growing up.
just as it was when we first met,
so it shall be now you have gone.
and so it is,
love is replaced with an empty space,
on MY bed.
just like yersterday,
my world walked away.
just like yesterday,
the same bird tap dances on my window ledge,
if i only had your wings,
i would rise high above this land,
and rest my weary worn body,
on those high clouds of cotton wool.
just like yesterday and everyday,
since you walked of into the fading sunset,
i have failed to grasp the meaning of change.
