Just One Of Those People Poem by Francis Duggan

Just One Of Those People

I never lay claim to the title of poet
Nor am I one worthy of literary note
I am just one of those who enjoys writing rhyme
Something I have been doing over Seasons of time
The rhymes come to me on notebook I write them down
But never for money or for literary renown
It is something I love doing this I won't deny
Not all things to money in life should apply
Rhymes are a thing that are not hard to write
And easy to remember and memorize to recite
Something the literary critics dismiss as doggerel
Those who for their literary opinions are paid rather well
I am just one of those people who enjoy writing rhyme
And I have been doing it for quite a long time.
