Just Shy Of Socratic Inquiry Poem by S.J. Goldner

Just Shy Of Socratic Inquiry

I'm librating betwixt
The cool and the unoriginal.
Someone help me out—
Tell me what's stale
And what is fresh,
Lay it on the line like I do
My verse.

Tell me once this line
Sucks or that line
Needs something other than
The words with which I have written
It—
Scold me.
Reprimand me.

I am a student and a child.

I am a lover out-of-line with these

That which is jaded and mundane
Should never be exposed—
Let alone exploited as art
Art
Art
Oh! To be so pretentious.
