Just Something Poem by Lilly Rose

Just Something

“Just something”

A wild path of a kite,
the rush of a waterfall,
the sparkle of light, ,
the bounce of a ball,
the blossom of a flower,
just something to be happy about.

A black and white photo of a wedding,
the joy on the couple’s faces,
the first time they went sledding,
the special place under the curtain’s lace,
the wonder of a newborn child,
just something to remember about.

A spark of life,
the cool summer breeze of the sea
severed by the cruelty of winter's sharp-edged knife,
the vibrant and rich paint slowly falling from tree,
the growth of an innocent,
just something that's about to change.
