Just The Quiet Achiever Poem by Francis Duggan

Just The Quiet Achiever

Rating: 5.0

He is a quiet one he never does speak too loud
The type who would never stand out in a crowd
Yet not the sort that you would make him out to be
There's more far more to him than the eye can see.

One can say a dark horse he is clever and wise
It is said empty vessels do make the most noise
He is one who never has too much to say
Just the quiet achiever in his own quiet way.

His own praises he is never heard to sing
He lives his own way and he does his own thing
Yet to many in trouble he has been a good friend
And in times of need on him you can depend.

He does not play footy or drink at the pub
And he is not a member of the Cricket club
He is not into sports yet he is a good bloke
And he is not humorless he can laugh at a joke.

One of the young unsung heroes of the town
And the type of person who would not let you down
Mrs T his aged neighbour says he is next to none
That he is far kinder to her than her own daughter and son.
