Justice Poem by Ashlyn Brena

Justice

Rating: 1.0

Uncle rapped me.

The door was not locked,
but I failed to escape.
I was young, I was just nine.
Uncle was not convicted for rape,
I told Mom and she said I'll be fine.

Justice didn't prevail.
I'm now thirty_
and no man wanna lift my veil.
I didn't just lose virginity,
I also lost dignity.

I didn't abort_
Now she's twenty-one,
She wanna be a lawyer and fix a lot.
Why is uncle still free on streets?
When he did this...

Ashlyn Brena.
