Justice And Law Poem by Starrbox Munoz

Justice And Law

Rating: 5.0

Judges judge, but is justice ever done?
Unfortunately at times it's not
Sometimes I cannot bring myself to understand why there's so much crime
Today we live in a society in which crime is just a part of daily life
It never stops, it only escalates
Criminals are growing in numbers and turning into prison statistics
Everyday I wonder why this is so?

And every time I remember that it's because of society.
Never have I doubted that justice will prevail, even when
Death tolls just seem to rise, I will still believe

Law enforcing officers & law abiding civilians can change this
Aweful and dreadful reality in life, but all I wonder now is...
When will crime and violence come to an end?

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Justice and the law are two things criminals hate most, because they exist to right the wrongs done by others. Innocent people may wish for harsher justice on the wrongdoers, but justice needs to be tempered with mercy. I invite you to read my poem, 'The Two Sisters of Law.'
