Kaleidoscope Poem by Ibn Ali

Kaleidoscope

I see the colors in the kaleidoscope
I see it
Fractured pieces
I see the hurt
I unmask the pain that she hides
I see it
I know it's her's
I recognise it
All our labours for nought
We succumb to forces I foresaw
I see it
What was and what is
But what to be is yet unseen
So be it
What was written will come to pass
And know although that I need this
What's more needed is change
Frustration's borne not so much from weight
But the wait
I see it
It's not unfair it's the fare
The toll that all who tread the path must pay
This life's a bridge
And we live this life abridged
We're so close to its end
