Kamala The Durable

For a robust person
the dose to kill and expel tapeworm
of powdered root of the South India kamala tree
is three drams.

For the enfeebled
the dose is one and a half.

It would not be for that use of the tree,
that the candidate was named.

Boiled down in carb of soda,
the red down on the tree's capsules,
each the size of a pea,
yields a durable, splendor surpassing,
flame-colored dye.

For that use would it be.
