Karaoke, Martinis and lobster claws,
Loving eachother with all the flaws,
That's where friendship makes itself known,
Showing up now after how much we have grown,
The smile in your eyes never left my vision,
Yet often as friends we need time and division,
It's in this time period we need save ourselves,
Separating and sorting the whistles from bells,
Clearly the bond was tucked deeply under,
The wind and the rain and blustery thunder,
Now quiet are the hearts so deeply affected,
It feels so good to have things corrected,
The heart never forgets what belongs inside,
The beat is the same as the oceans' tide,
I gratefully appreciate it's strength and devotion,
For once again our hearts are in motion,
I look forward now to the future with awe,
Amazed at how fate and God's divine law,
Put you on my doorstep yesterday morn,
A New Year and future about to be born.
